Rice Wax, a kind of natural wax, is obtained on the condition of no altering its character by our unique techniques to extract the wax existing in rice bran oil which is abstracted from rice bran, and then decolor & refine it.
1. Constituent
The main component of rice wax is fatty acid (cerotic acid) and senior ceryl alcohol ester. Fatty acid contains palmitic acid (C16), behenic acid (C22), lignoceric acid (C24) and cerotic acid (C26), etc. Main ceryl alcohol ingredient contains ceryl alcohol (C26), isoserine ceryl alcohol, melissyl alcohol (C30), etc. Moreover, the wax also contains some non-saponifiable matter (mainly composed of melissyl alcohol (C30), ceryl alcohol, isoserine ceryl alcohol) and some free acid (primary palmitic acid), little alcohols, sgualene ester, etc.

4. Application
(1) Foodstuff industry: can be widely used as the coating material of chocolate, confection and tablet, also as brightness and fresh-keeping agent for fruits, emulsifying agent & moldable agent of chewing gum’s substrate;
(2) Cosmetic industry: can be used as ideal substitute for carnauba wax and Mexico grass wax, and also as the substrate of lipsticks;
(3) Brightening agent: to be widely used for making car wax, shoe polish and floor wax;
(4) Other industry: to be widely used as the material for making lubricant and as the slip agent for making PVC;

6. Food sanitation
Rice wax is absolute innoxious natural wax obtained during abstracting rice bran oil. Its security recognition was recorded by FDA regulation. Moreover, CTFA (Cosmetic Toiletry and Fragrance Association, Inc.) call the wax as Rice bran wax. With regards to the irritability caused by the wax, CTFA has conducted a 48-hour whole closed test to human’s skin touch and the result shows there is not any irritability to human skin.
